Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has conveyed to the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) its reservations as the latter tries to address the former’s concerns and bridge the trust deficit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told 24News that during the second round of talks between the two parties held at the Senate chairman’s chamber on Thursday, PPP told the ruling party that it had been found violating the deal under which the PPP had to become part of the coalition government.
Quoting PPP leaders, sources revealed that they had communicated to the PML-N negotiators that they did not think that their party was serious in the implementation of the agreement.
The PPP had also informed the PML-N of the issues it was facing in Punjab, they disclosed, adding these issues were ignoring the party in the appointment of officers on administrative posts and also neglecting it during the release of funds for development projects.
Sources further said that the PPP had also informed the ruling party of its concerns for not taking it on board prior to the presentation of the budget.
Sources disclosed that as the talks were underway, senior-most PML-N leaders made contacts with the members of the PPP team.
The PML-N was represented by Vice Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and the party stalwart Rana Sanaullah, while Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman were the PPP’s representatives in the talks.
