Successful students of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) have made an appeal to the caretaker chief minister of Sindh to review their decision to reconduct the test, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqir took the step in the wake of paper leak reports.
The decision did not go well with the successful students so they questioned, 'If the paper was leaked in Sindh, why should the exam be repeated in Karachi?'
The students said those who were caught cheating should be given exemplary punishments but those like me who cleared the exam already should not be made to attempt it again.
Further, they remarked they had already spent a considerable amount of time and money at tuition centres to prepare for the exam day and night and could not afford to repeat the process.
The students raised questions about when will the exam be held again, when will the results be released, when will admission to the university take place, and what will be the pattern of the exam.
They stated that retaking the exam would only waste of time.
