CTD arrests four TTP and Qaeda operatives in Punjab

The Counter-Terrorism Department on Saturday arrested four most wanted terrorists belonging to proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Al Qaeda organizations from different cities in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CTD arrested the militants in secret operations conducted in Multan, Rawalpindi and Sargodha.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrests were made following the interrogation of 26 suspected persons by the sleuths.
The arrested TTP and Al Qaeda operatives were identified as Ayaz Khan, Yaseen, Saleem and Asad.
The spokesperson said that police were interrogating the terrorists after registering cases against them.
He said that police recovered explosives, weapons and material used in making suicide jackets from their possession.
The spokesperson said that the CTD conducted 419 combing operations during the current week and captured 94 suspected elements.
He said the CTD is determined to send the outlaws behind the bars.
