Sindh CM announces 120-day remission on Independence Day

Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Monday announced a 120-day remission in the sentence of prisoners on Independence Day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The notification released by the Interior Secretary on the orders of the Sindh CM stated that the remission will not be applicable on the sentence of the convicts booked for murder, espionage, terrorism and anti-state activities, rape, kidnapping and robbery. It will also not reduce the sentence of the prisoners who were granted remission on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.
The remission was recommended by Sindh IG prisons.
