Maulana Fazl to address presser today

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will address an important press conference Wednesday evening to unveil his party’s future line of action after recent elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had met Maulana Fazl a day earlier and sought his cooperation in forming a coalition government at the Centre.

Maulana Fazl said that he will be in a position to respond after holding consultations with his party.

In a post on X platform on Wednesday, the party announced that Maulana Fazl will address the presser today.

JUI-F candidate moves PHC, ECP against Asad Qaiser’s victory

JUI-F runner-up candidate in NA-19 Swabi Maulana Fazal Ali Haqqani has filed a petition in Peshawar High Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan against the victory of PTI-supported candidate Asad Qaiser.

In the petition, Maulana Fazal claimed that two different Form 47s were issued by the Returning Officer.

He further contended that out of the total 1200 postal ballots, he got 663 votes while Asad Qaiser got only 198 votes, and thus majority voted for JUI-F candidate.

Maulana Fazal also presented the ballot papers stamped on the book as evidence. He claimed that before the election, votes were bought in 5 thousand and 10 thousand rupees besides the returning officers.

Maulana Fazal requested that the ballot paper should be verified through a laboratory, including the recount of votes.

JUI-F candidate also requested the court and ECP to stop the official notification of Asad Qaisar as winner in NA 19 constituency.
