SBP governor denies withdrawing $2 billion from Roshan Accounts

While expressing his gratitude to overseas Pakistanis who have deposited more than $4 billion in the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA), State Bank Governor Reza Baqir refuted news doing rounds on social media regarding withdrawing of $2 billion from the RDA, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He thanked all those Pakistanis who have opened and intended to open an account in the RDA. He denied rumours that are circulating on social media that government has taken out $2 billion from the RDA, saying there is no truth in them.
He shared plans about the expansion of RDA explaining that RDA is State Bank’s brainchild launched with the collaboration of other commercial banks.
