National Security Council to take up Afghan situation

Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
The civilian and military leaders will show up at the meeting on August 16 to ponder over the situation in wake of Taliban's takeover in Afghanistan.
In view of the rapidly changing situation in the region, the political leadership of Afghanistan arrived in Pakistan.

Nations such as the UK, Germany, Canada and the US are using military planes to pluck their nationals out of Afghanistan.
Talking Turkish President Erdogan, PM Imran said Pakistan was extending facilitation in the evacuation of diplomatic personnel and staff of international organization in Kabul as requested.
