PPP MNA demands Army operation in Katcha area

Member National Assembly (MNA) from Shikarpur Muhammad Sheharyar Khan Mahar has appealed to the incumbent government to call in Pakistan Army for launching an operation against dacoits in Katcha area after the on-going action by police has miserably failed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference Sheharyar Khan Mahar said that three SSPs were changed for Katcha operation but the police failed to achieve the desired results.
He further said that dacoits of Katcha area are so strong that they shot dead a SHO and police still unable to arrest the dacoits involved in his murder.
He said that he brought this situation into the notice of provincial home minister and Sindh government respectively asking them to constitute a separate force for operation against dacoits hiding in Katcha area.
He said due to lack of resources the provincial government failed to achieve any success in the operation against dacoits so Pakistan Army should be called in for the operation.
He said that all SHOs of Shikarpur area deputed at Tigu and Napar Kot checkposts while the criminal activities still continue in their respective areas.
He said that only one group is responsible for poor law and order situation in Shikarpur and this group has the blessing of a religious party.
He went on saying that Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam patronizing these criminal activities while on the other hand they are agitating against the poor law and order situation of Shikarpur.
