A steno typist was forcibly retired on Thursday after an inquiry confirmed he had sexually harassed a female officer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A female section officer, serving at the Establishment Division, had complained that Wamiq Jameel, a stenotypist, had harassed her.
Taking notice of the allegation, the Division ordered an inquiry in which it was proved he had harassed the officer.
The action was taken under the ‘Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act.
The steno typist can appeal the decision in the federal ombudsman within 30 days.
