British High Commissioner denies England involvement in cancellation of NZ tour

British High Commission (BHC) Friday categorically rejected the speculations about its involvement in the cancellation of New Zealand cricket team’s tour to Pakistan just minutes before starting a match.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, British High Commissioner Christian Turner in a tweet clarified their position and said the New Zealand had taken such a decision independently.
In a tweet, Christian Turner said that speculations that BHC was involved in the Pakistan versus New Zealand tour being called off were untrue.
This was a decision for the New Zealand authorities and they had taken it independently, he added.
Commenting on the cancellation of the series, he said he recognized that this was a sad day for cricket fans in Pakistan and around the world who were looking forward to the series.
