Troops kill 11 terrorists in three KP operations

Security forces killed 11 terrorists in three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ISPR said on Wednesday.

The military media wing said the troops conducted the operations on December 17 and 18.

The security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Tank district, killing seven terrorists, it added.

The ISPR said troops killed two terrorists in the Datta Khel area of the North Waziristan district and two in the Mamad Gat area of Mohmand district.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered in the operations, it said, adding that the dead remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and civilians.

The sanitisation operations are on as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the terrorism.

President, Interior Minister praise security forces 

President Asif Ali Zardari and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for eliminating terrorists.

President Ali Zardari paid tribute to security forces for fighting against terrorists and reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorists from the country.

Security forces are taking action to maintain peace in the country and the nation is united against terrorism, the president said

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan's brave security forces thwarted the nefarious designs of terrorists by conducting timely operations.
