Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Siraj-ul-Haq said that the government should impose an immediate health and agricultural emergency in the flood-affected areas, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

In his speech at the seminar in Islamabad on Sunday, he said, “Free seeds, fertilizer, and chemical spray should be given in flood-affected areas on an emergency basis’.

He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif instead of asking for donations from others should give five billion rupees from his own business to the flood survivors.

He alleged that the United Nations Secretary-General said that people have not drowned in the flood, but they have been drowned. Everyone in Sindh and Balochistan said that we have been drowned. To save the people in the area, the army installed a cut in one place, but when the army left, the landlords closed the cut again, he added.

He asked donor countries, including the IMF to waive off their debts to Pakistan as it is facing the worst economic crisis in its history.

Sira Jul Haq said that the Secretary General of the United Nations has done a very good job by demanding industrialized countries to help Pakistan. He asked when will the rich and wealthy Pakistanis come to help the flood victims. The nation has proved on several occasions that they are able to defeat any kind of calamity, he added.
