Punjab launches third number plate for vehicles, motorbikes

Punjab Excise and Taxation Department (E &T) authorities have launched a third number plate for vehicles and motorbikes which will cost the commuters Rs1,050 each, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The cost will be collected from the citizens in the name of introducing third number plates of vehicles.
The Excise Department has approached the provincial government for formal approval for installing and collecting fees in this regard.
The E&T Department said that the third number plate will be affixed to the front screen of cars and on the light of motorcycles.
The department has proposed Rs1,050 as the charging fee for the third number plate that will include all the data of the owner of the vehicle.
