Punjab government has decided to decrease the number of law officers and in this regard resignations have been taken from law officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

On the other hand, the number of judges in the Lahore High Court has reached 38 while the number of law officers has reached 88, sources revealed.

Chaudhry Pervez Elahi's decision to increase the number of law officers became a burden on the government treasury.

Sources said that Pervaiz Elahi increased the number of law officers to 96 in the presence of 43 judges in September 2022.
