Usman Buzdar removes CEO Health Okara over ‘negligence’

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Monday removed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health department Okara Abdul Majeed on ‘negligence’ in combating coronavirus.
The CM was on a tour to Depalpur, Chishtian and Okara districts. Samsam Bukhari also accompanied the CM on his visit.

It is pertinent to note that first COVID-19 patient in Okara named Hafiz Ghulam Sarwar resident of 25 GD Okara recovered successfully at DHQ hospital South city Okara.
He was discharged and allowed to go home on April 18 after his two PCR reports with interval came negative. During his hospital stay food and other daily needs were provided by hospital and district administration, said Dr Yasir Irfan Medical Superintendent of DHQ hospital, South City Okara.
Punjab Young Doctors Association has demanded protective gears to fight COVID-19.
