Pakistan's Make-A-Wish Foundation arranged a virtual meet-up between Ertugrul star Engin Altan and his three little fans who expressed their desire to meet the hero.

Hosted by actress Ayesha Omar, the ceremony took place in Karachi and was attended by the Turkish Consul General Tolga Ucak, amongst other prominent Pakistani names from the industry such as Zeba Bakhtiar, Nadeem Baig and Humayun Saeed.

However many people on social media weren’t happy on the organisation for picking Ayesha Omar for such a huge show.

One of the users on twitter said inviting Ayesha Omar was a bad image to the Turks.

Replying to that user, Ayesha Omar said: “I am sorry you didn’t approve. I am extremely grateful and honoured that the organisers and board of directors thought I was worth of it. I hope I can come to your expectation and standards someday.”

She further added, “This is not meant in jest or sarcasm. Your comment made me sad. I try my best to represent my country well, anywhere in the world. I mean it from the heart.”
