Dutch envoy takes up human smuggling with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Ambassador of the Netherlands Henny de Vries met with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday and discussed a raft of issue with him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the Ambassador of the Netherlands on her arrival at the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest including bilateral cooperation and also discussed increasing cooperation in various sectors.
The need to improve cooperation to prevent human trafficking was emphasized in the meeting.
Talking on the occasion Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with the Netherlands and wants to enhance relations with the Netherlands in various fields.
The Minister of the Interior congratulated the new government of the Netherlands and his counterpart. There is a need to increase bilateral cooperation to stop human trafficking, Mohsin Naqvi added.
He said that human smugglers are a big mafia and no country can cope alone and only collective action can be effective against human trafficking and in this regard, the Italian team will visit Pakistan soon.
In the meeting, it was agreed to increase cooperation for the care of Afghan refugees.
Pakistan has hosted Afghan refugees for decades, Mohsin Naqvi said.
In the meeting, it was also agreed to increase cricket ties between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Mohsin Naqvi said we are developing a plan to promote cricket with the Netherlands.
The Ambassador of the Netherlands congratulated Mohsin Naqvi on his nomination for the post of President of the Asian Cricket Council.
Ambassador of Netherlands said that promotion of cooperation in various fields including sports is of utmost importance.
By promoting cooperation in cricket, the Netherlands team will get an opportunity to learn from the experience of Pakistan, Ambassador of the Netherlands said.
Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Ali Agha and Additional Home Secretary Rifat Mukhtar Raja were also present on the occasion.
