The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has prepared an initial list of candidates for the reserved seats in the Punjab and national assembly following the Supreme Court’s verdict, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

The apex gave its verdict on the Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) appeals, declaring the Imran Khan-founded party eligible for seats reserved for women and minorities.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Sanam Javed, and Alia Hamza have been proposed for the national assembly.

These figures are well-known and have been instrumental in various capacities, making them strong contenders for these roles.

Additionally, several candidates are under consideration for the Punjab Assembly. The names include Ayesha Bhutta, Saadia Ayub, Rubina Khan, Rubina Rizwan, Rubina Jameel, and Ashma Shuja. These individuals have shown significant dedication and service to the party, positioning them as potential representatives in the provincial assembly.

Additionally, the name of Falak Javed, sister of Sanam Javed, has also been proposed for a reserved seat in the Punjab Assembly.

The final approval of this list rests with PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Sources further said that the proposed names will be presented to PTI founder Imran Khan for approval.

Following the approval, the list will be submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Furthermore, a committee comprising Zartaj Gul, Kanwal Shauzab, and Saima Taher has been formed to oversee the selection process for the reserved seats.
