Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned another consultative meeting of his federal ministers and PTI leaders at Bani Gala later today (Sunday) to deliberate on the current political situation unfolding in the aftermath of opposition’s no-confidence motion against him and his deserting party members, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

This is the third meeting in as many days summoned by the beleaguered prime minister who is trying hard to fortify his defence in the event of no-trust motion as opposition wants to table the move in tomorrow’s session of the National Assembly.

PM Khan will preside over the meeting which will be held at his Bani Gala residence at 2pm today. The meeting will be attended by federal ministers and party leaders.

The premier will hold consultation on assembly session, no-trust move, legal affairs and most importantly the huddle will mull over devising a strategy to deal with the PTI dissident members.

According to some media reports, the government is considering to summon National Assembly session on March 25 after the threat of opposition leaders on Saturday that they would disrupt the OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers’ moot in case NA Speaker Asad Qaiser did not put the no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on the day’s agenda by Monday (tomorrow).

However, hours later the opposition withdrew its threat and assured the foreign dignitaries of the Muslim countries that a conducive atmosphere would be ensured upon their arrival in Islamabad.

It is pertinent to mention here that the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Minister (CFM) is going to be held in the National Assembly Hall on March 23.
