BRT Peshawar bus keeps passengers 'fit'

You may be a reader of self-help books but nothing can beat a practical job and that too at a societal level. And it seems BRT Peshawar is like a lab where your patience, reaction, ability to work together with others and physical strength are checked on a daily basis. Maybe in a way, it keeps you fit.
So here is what happened in Peshawar yet again. Another bus developed some fault on Friday and stopped on the middle of the dedicated track near the Abdara station on University Road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Given that there was no one to carry the bus, it were the passengers, at least some of them, who started pushing the vehicle.
But it didn’t stop there as it led to further problems. As the track does have room for other vehicles given that the bus stations are in middle, a long line of buses could be seen on this side.

Given the daily routine of buses breaking down, the government must now allocate millions to buy cranes and tow trucks, albeit of better quality, to keep the track open.
The latest incident came after the passengers of a bus on Thursday had to walk to the nearest station after being dropped on the middle of nowhere.
Reason? The vehicle experienced some technical fault and the driver had to stop it right there on the track before reaching the University Bus Station.
However, the spokesperson for TransPeshawar – the company managing the affairs of this mass transit project – says the bus service is running without any break and there was no technical issue with the vehicle.
The said bus, says the spokesperson, was only restarted and is currently operational on its designated route and minor faults aren’t something extraordinary.
