The Ministry of Finance has recommended the appointment of Asif Mehmood Jah as federal tax ombudsman in place of Mushtaq Sukhera who has completed his term in the office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources told 24News that Jah, who belongs to Pakistan Customs, has even applied for premature retirement from the department.
President Arif Alvi will give approval to Jah’s appointment following advice by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
