Rangers, CTD arrest BLF terrorist Bengali from Karachi

In a joint operation, Pakistan Rangers (PR) and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested hardcore terrorist Akhtar alias Aku alias Bengali from Liyari and also recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition from his possession, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The arrested accused is member of Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and is a resident of Mohallah Sargod.
During initial investigation, the accused informed the interrogators that he joined Baloch Liberation Front in 2019 on the advice of his close friend Faraz alias Gunj.
The accused and his colleague were involved in reckey and filming of sensitive locations.
He informed the investigators that on March 9, 2021 he and his colleague opened fire on a vehicle carrying a Chinese national near Kamila Bus Stop in the jurisdiction of Baghdadi Police Station.
In the firing incident, Chinese national, manager Jason and a passer-by were critically injured.
A CCTV footage of the incident clearly showed the involvement of accused while committing the crime.
The accused told the interrogators that he and his colleague Faraz conducted reckey of journalists Akram Sajidi and Shahid Zehri and after making of video they sent it to Balochistan Liberation Front commander Abdul Rehman alias Adnan alias David.
A first information report was lodged in Baghdadi Police Station.
Further investigation was under way.
