ANF foils bid to smuggle drugs in clay ovens to Saudi Arabia

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Wednesday seized 56 kilograms of ice drug, absorbed in six clay ovens that were being shipped to Jeddah, from the office of a courier service on Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The operation was carried out on a tip-off. The ANF also arrested the accused, Iqrar Ahmad, who revealed during investigation that five more clay ovens had reached Karachi via Daewoo bus service.
Following that, two clay ovens were seized near Sohrab Goth and three near Lyari during search. 88.50kg of ice drug absorbed in 11 clay ovens were recovered in total.
It was also learnt that accused Iqrar was wanted in Rawalpindi too in a drug parcel case.
A Case was registered against him under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
