Bonus salary for LESCO employees announced

A bonus salary of one month has been announced for the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), 24News HD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the LESCO Board of Directors approved the bonus salary in a meeting chaired by Chairman Hafiz Mian Muhammad Nauman in Lahore.
As per the decision, LESCO employees from grades 1 to 15 will be given one salary as a bonus. The LESCO board also approved a 35% increase in salaries from grade 1 to 16 and a 30% increase in salary for above grade 17.
A 17.5% increase in the pension of retired employees was also approved in the board meeting.
The decision to increase salaries and pension will be effective from July.
The employees kept the power transmission system stable during severe weather for which they were entitled to a bonus, Hafiz Mian Muhammad Nauman said.
