A flood survivor couple along with others Wednesday protested over the death of their two-month-old baby, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

They blocked the road and made a hue and cry over the alleged negligence of doctors of Jinnah Hospital Karachi. The parents of the girl claimed that the doctors did take care of their baby.

They kept visiting hospitals with their sick baby, but even in three big government hospitals, the baby namely Sughari could not get proper treatment and she eventually lost her life, they added.

Reportedly, the parents of Sughari, hit by flood, poverty and trouble, gave a birth to a baby two months ago at Bhittai Abad camps. Their baby fell ill soon after her birth and she was treated in Civil Hospital Bhittai Abad. After her condition worsened, the innocent girl was first transferred to District Hospital and after to Jinnah Hospital Karachi for treatment. But, she lost her life.

Assistant Commissioner Airport Mir Muhammad and DHO Malir Dr Maqboob succeeded in ending the protest after four hours of negotiations with them.

Health problems are increasing with each passing day in the flood victims' camps. Therefore, the government and the administration should take practical measures for reducing the difficulties of the flood survivors.
