Man held in Lahore for thrashing Filipino woman

Police in Lahore on Wednesday arrested a man for misbehaving and beating up a woman from the Philippines, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Cantonment SP Isa Sukhera told the media that Hassan Raza forced his way into the home of the Filipino, who worked in the city; slapped her and even tore her clothes. The woman, on the other hand, praised the police for their timely response. 

Raza, the suspect, was later handed over to the Investigation Wing of the police.  

DIG Operations Dr Muhammad Abid said that women in the society were being provided complete protection.
