Maryam reviews organisational structure, performance of party’s minority wing

PML-N Vice President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday chaired meeting of party’s minority wing in Lahore’s Model Town area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The meeting reviewed the organisational structure and performance of party’s minority wing.
The meeting also discussed proposals to pace up activities of the minorities wing. The meeting also condemned the coinciding of PTI’s Jail Bharo Tehreek and election dates with Christians’ holy days.
President Dr Arif Alvi has given April 9 as election date and the Christian community will celebrate Easter on the same day. The Christian community is observing its first fast today. On this occasion, Maryam Nawaz expressed her good wishes to Christian community.
Addressing the meeting, Maryam said minorities played key role in creation of Pakistan. They supported Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, she said. They have been important part in all fields including education, health and social services. Protecting all rights of minorities is a part of our faith, she added. She said she will join minority community wherever and whenever it celebrates any of its day. Maryam said minorities will be given chance to come forward and show their capabilities. The chance will be given especially to women and young people.
