MQM-P holds late-night meeting with opposition at Parliament Lodges

Contacts between the government allies and the opposition have picked up pace ahead of no-confidence motion as a delegation of the latter held a detailed meeting with the leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in Parliament lodges on late Monday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A detailed consultation on the upcoming no-confidence motion against the prime minister took place during the meeting.
Other issues including the government’s attitude towards the allies, its indifference to fulfilment of the promises made to the MQM-P, and delay in convening the National Assembly session were also discussed in detail.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, and Khawaja Saad Rafique were part of the opposition delegation.
Khursheed Shah and Sohail Anwar Siyal of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) were also present in the meeting.
The MQM delegation included Aamir Khan, Wasim Akhtar and Aminul Haque.
