Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed sympathy for the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stating concern for the youth whose potential is being jeopardized, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a media interaction following his meeting with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman highlighted key aspects of their discussion.

He said that both leaders, with a history of collaboration in government and opposition against previous illegitimate regimes, decided to walk together in the upcoming elections.

“We warmly welcome Mian Nawaz Sharif for returning to Pakistan and visiting our home, he remarked.

JUI head said that during the meeting, the participants affirmed a commitment to move forward together, making decisions in the spirit of mutual understanding.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on maintaining cordial relations with other political parties, emphasizing the importance of unity within the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he hinted.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also advocated for harnessing the potential benefits of political unity rather than engaging in energy-draining conflicts among parties.

He underscored the need for collaborative efforts, stating that a united front would yield greater advantages for the nation.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman clarified that the PDM has not adopted a stringent stance against the Pakistan People's Party (PPP).

He expressed the intention to avoid adversarial positions and assured that they would refrain from taking a confrontational approach against PPP.

Responding to Bilawal Bhutto, Maulana Fazlur Rehman cautioned against handing over politics to younger generations.

He also recalled the challenges faced during election campaigns in KP and Balochistan.

The Maulana clarified that the purpose of the discussion is not to take the law into one's own hands, even in the face of election uncertainties.

He affirmed a commitment to participate actively in elections.

He acknowledged the diplomatic protocol of meeting ambassadors, including the US ambassador.

JUI head lauded Pakistan's bold stance on the Palestine issue, urging the international community to appreciate and maintain this position.

Highlighting the challenges faced by Gaza citizens, Maulana called for solidarity among Muslim leaders to address food shortages and alleviate the suffering of affected communities.
