Peshawar Zalmi’s young batting sensation Mohammad Haris has said that Zalmi have played solid cricket over the last nine seasons, and they will continue that tradition in the upcoming matches.
In a media talk on Wednesday, he shared his views ahead of the team’s upcoming matches.
Haris, who is currently batting at number four, said he is fully committed to adapting as per the team’s needs.
Dispelling rumors of a rivalry with Lahore Qalandars’ pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, he said, “There’s no rivalry with Shaheen. He’s like a brother and a friend to me.”
To a question, he said that due to the heat, the pitches are drying out, making it difficult to chase scores.
However, he added that the weather itself poses no physical issue for players.
He also voiced support for captain Babar Azam, who has been under scrutiny due to a dip in form.
The young batter also highlighted the learning environment within the Zalmi camp, crediting the presence of cricketing legends Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed.
Looking ahead to their upcoming match in Lahore, Haris anticipated strong fan support.
“I’m hopeful the stadium will be house-full and the people of Lahore will enjoy the match,” he said with enthusiasm.
