National boxer Muhammad Wasim has made a public appeal to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, requesting the return of his passport as he faces challenges preparing for an upcoming world title fight.
Wasim shared his concerns on social media, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
Wasim's World Boxing Federation (WBF) bantamweight title fight is scheduled for October 4 in Malta. However, he has been unable to join his training camp due to his passport being held up.
"The fight is close, and my preparation is at risk because I don't have my passport," Wasim stated.
He submitted his passport to the Danish Embassy for a visa on July 22, but the delay in its return has caused significant concern.
Wasim emphasized that if the passport is not returned soon, his training and preparation for the fight could be severely impacted. He pleaded for its swift return to ensure he could adequately prepare for the bout.
