Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Saturday announced a reward of Rs10 million for the Pakistan cricket team if it wins the ICC Champions Trophy match against India, which will be played in Dubai today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In a statement, Tessori said that currently he was in London but his prayers and best wishes are with the Pakistan team.
He said that the entire nation was praying for Pakistan’s victory.
The governor hoped that all players of Pakistan's team would show outstanding performance and would become victorious.
Today's match is do or die for Pakistan, which has already lost its first match of the tournament to New Zealand. And if it wants to progress in the event, it will have to beat India at all costs.
India, on the other hand, is comfortably placed as it has already beaten Bangladesh. The team will now look to further cement its position by beating Pakistan.
Pakistan will miss opener Fakhar Zaman in its match against India. Fakhr had his chest muscles pulled in the match against New Zealand. The team is already without upcoming batsman Saim Ayub, which has also dented its morale ahead of a crucial match.
