BNA founder appeals to insurgents to shun arms, enter into dialogue

The founder of the banned Baloch National Army (BNA), Gulzar Imam alias Shambay has appealed to insurgents to shun their guns and embrace peace to bring prosperity to Balochistan, reported the 24NewsHDTV channel.
Talking to media persons along with Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langove on Tuesday, he confessed that he was on the wrong path as problems could be resolved without violence.
Imam appealed to those who are fighting against the state, must give up their arms struggle, and prioritize dialogue for the betterment of the province.
The rebellions must shun guns and embrace peace to bring prosperity to Balochistan as problems can be resolved without violence, he maintained.
“War for rights of Balochistan is possible through political and constitutional way,” he asserted.
Gulzar Shambay also requested the state to give them a chance for reformation. The Baloch students should work for the development of the province, he said.
Arrested in a high-profile intelligence-based operation by the security forces some eight weeks ago, Imam said Balochistan was left behind as the investment was equivalent to none. The way he adopted was wrong, he said.
“I was the former contractor and believed that there is an unfair distribution of resources in the province,” Gulzar Imam said.
He said Balochistan’s development stopped due to armed struggle and pinned hope that the state will give treat him nicely.
“I apologize for lives losses from both sides and will try to fulfill all legal requirements in the future,” Gulzar vowed.
Shambay said that he believed that the state has shown seriousness in solving the Balochistan insurgency issue.
Former insurgents said unemployment and missing persons are one of the main issues of Balochistan.
“The masses should be given employment according to their rights. We are with those who do not get their rights as per the constitution,” he said.
Balochistan Interior Minister Zia Langu said the Balochistan government will always be open to talking with the persons.
Mir Zia Langu said the security forces and institutes foiled the conspiracies against the country. Only talks were the best solution, he maintained.
Senator Agha Umar Ali said enemies wanted to disrupt the peace of Balochistan and the country.
