Former federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb filed a plea in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore for acquittal in an anti-state speech case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Marriyum Aurangzeb appeared in the court. ATC judge Abhar Gul Khan heard the plea.

Marriyum talked to the media during the short break in the case hearing and said that Nawaz Sharif and the people would get Pakistan out of trouble together.

“Nawaz Sharif has said that everyone will have to sit together. The opponents have also supported Nawaz Sharif’s words,” she stated.

“Enough of the politics of chaos. Now the country has to be taken forward,” she emphasised.

It is to be noted here that the police had prepared an investigation report of the case and submitted it to the court.

The court had, however, rejected the police’s report for the disposal of the case.

Issuing notice to the prosecution in connection with Marriyum's latest plea, the court adjourned the hearing until November 11.

The court also accepted Javed Latif’s application for exemption from appearance due to his brother’s death.
