The counsel for the accused took the plea that the FIR in the Sonia Bibi murder case was registered against Nawaz Sharif and others at the Raiwind City Police Station.
Adeel, Sultan Ahmad and others were named in the murder case, which was registered with the Riawind City Police Station on June 20. The FIR says that Sonia was murdered on Nawaz Sharif’s behest. The counsel for the petitioner said that accused Nawaz Sharif was not present at the time of the crime and the allegations against him were baseless. The counsels for the accused said their client is innocent therefore he should be granted pre-arrest bail. After hearing the arguments, the court granted the accused pre-arrest bail until September 7. The court also summoned record of the case from the police.
