A pregnant woman, her child, and her husband tragically lost their lives in an accident when a speeding water tanker collided with their motorcycle under the Malir Halt Bridge in Karachi, according to police reports.

Police officials stated that the accident occurred due to an apparent brake failure, causing the tanker to lose control as it came off the highway onto Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The family was crushed instantly, leading to their immediate deaths.

Media reports indicated that the man was en route to the hospital with his pregnant wife for delivery when the fatal crash occurred.

The driver of the tanker has been arrested, and the vehicle has been seized as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, Karachi’s growing traffic issues contributed to three more deaths in separate road accidents, further highlighting the city's escalating road safety concerns.

At Johar Mor, a speeding cement mixer truck crashed into a motorcycle, killing 25-year-old Abdul Saboor on the spot. The incident sparked anger among bystanders, who set the truck on fire, leading to police intervention. The truck driver was later arrested.

In another incident at Liaquatabad No. 10, a dumper truck collided with a motorcyclist, killing him instantly. Additionally, in Keamari, a car struck a motorcycle, resulting in another fatality.
