Sindh police to launch ‘grand offensive’ in Shikarpur

Sindh police have decided to launch a grand offensive today (Monday) against dacoits who killed three cops and injured four on Sunday in an ongoing operation in the riverbed area in Khanpur, Shikarpur district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The deceits in Khanpur, Shakargarh had attacked an armoured personnel carrier (APC) with advanced ammunition. On the other hand, besieged policemen also released a video
The martyred policemen have been identified as Jahanzeb Ujjar, Munawar Ali Jatoi and a photographer Hafeez Shaikh. The funeral prayers of the martyred policemen were offered in the Police Lines on Sunday late at 10 pm.
Policemen Imran Soomro, Saeed Mehar, Asadullah Pahore and Sajjad Chandio were also injured along with six others in the operation.
The outlaws have also captured a police picket as police operations against the dacoits have failed, the TV channel reported.
Owing to the prevailing situation the DIG Nasir Aftab reached Shikarpur. The outlaws have also viral released a video on social media in which dacoits can be seen capturing the armoured personnel carrier of police.
Shikarpur SSP Ameer Saud Magsi confirmed the casualties in the operation and due to his poor strategy policemen sacrificed their lives.
