Coronavirus found in Lahore’s judicial magistrate

A local judge in Lahore was quarantined after being tested positive for coronavirus, reported City42 TV channel on Saturday.
Judicial Magistrate Mian Naeem Sarwar was stationed at the District Courts. He had visited the Aiwan Adl in connection with the inauguration of disinfectant tunnel performed by Sessions Judge Qaiser Nazir Butt some days ago. On the occasion, the arrangements were made by Senior Civil Judge (Admin) Shakeeb Imran.
On his return, the judicial magistrate felt headache and fever which prompted him to opt for the coronavirus test. Therefore, Butt sent him on leave on Saturday.
Moreover, Butt and Shakeeb have also decided to get themselves tested for the virus.
The coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the provincial capital, resulting in sealing the affected areas under the smart lockdown policy. The number of localities affected by the virus currently stands at 23.
According to police, two more areas were locked down during the past 24 hours. In Township, an area comprising 12 homes was sealed after a person tested positive.
Similarly, a street was blocked at Sofiaabad in Nishtar Town as the virus was found in 10 residents.
