Two govt vehicles with same number-plates baffle Narowal public

The district administration of Narowal has left people stunned by allotting the same number plates to the vehicles of two government officials, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The number plates of the car belonging to the assistant commissioner (AC) and that belonging to a tehsildar are the same.
The number written on both these plates is: GAG-37; only the colour of these vehicles is different; one is a white-coloured Dala while the other is black.
Reacting to the district administration’s ‘feat’, citizens have said that if those supposed to enforce the writ of the state will do such types of things, then there is no doubt left in people’s minds that there is a law of a jungle in Pakistan.
On the other hand, an excise inspector has said that the number plates of two vehicles can never be the same. “However, if there is a difference in the models of these cars, then they may have the same number plates,” he has informed.
The deputy commissioner, on the other hand, has opined that the number plate allotted to one vehicle may be allotted to another.
