Afghanistan appoint Umar Gul as bowling coach for one year

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Wednesday appointed the former Pakistan fast bowler, Umar Gul as the team’s bowling coach for a period of one year.

ACB on its official Twitter page made this announcement and said: “Former Pakistan right-arm fast bowler @mdk_gul has been named as the new bowling coach of our national man’s cricket team.”

The tweet read: “He will step up in the role ahead of the upcoming limited-overs away series against @ZimCricketv.”

In response, the man who was fabulous with his Yorkers also penned tweet and wrote: “Looking forward to working with this energetic and hardworking group of boys once again, this time for longer InshaAllah.”

Senior sports journalist Aalia Rasheed also congratulated to the former T20 specialist (Umar Gul) and penned: “Bohat bohat ,Mubarak Gul, may you have more oppurtunities and more success during your new assignment. Your charity of mind and relentless hard work makes you stand out. Go well.”
