Pakistan cooperating in development of Cambodia: Ch Parvez Elahi

Cambodian Ambassador to Pakistan Ung Sean Thursday called on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Honorary Consul General Chaudhry Salik Hussain MNA at the Governor’s House.
Issues of mutual interest and the current international situation were discussed during the meeting.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that there was a need to enhance the people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Cambodia so that tourism and trade between the two countries could be further improved.
He said that the global situation was changing rapidly and especially the problems facing humanity in relation to health facilities and food shortages could be solved together.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that Pakistan is cooperating in the development of Cambodia and Command and Staff College Quetta successfully conducting Army Command and Staff Course Program, whereas Diploma Program including construction department, Postal Service, Railway System, Banking Sector to the students of Cambodia. There are also six different programs that are being taught to Cambodian students each year in the field of medicine, dental, and pharmacy.
Cambodian Ambassador Ung Sean thanked Ch Parvez Elahi and Salik Hussain and said that Pakistan is a beautiful and peaceful country.
He said Cambodian students, businessmen and tourists feel safe in Pakistan and they are interested in expanding trade, culture, tourism and other issues with Pakistan.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri inquires after Ch Shujat Hussain
Allama Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri from Canada telephoned Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and inquired about the well-being of Ch Shujat Hussain.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi thanked Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and inquired about his health.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Ch Shujat Hussain has a very sociable and well-rounded personality. He reminisced about the 2014 sit-in and offered special prayers and the best wishes for the health of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi.
