Refusal to give VIP protocol to Punjab Health Secretary costs SIMS doctor job

Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Dr Syed Mazhar Ali Naqvi was transferred first and later terminated from his post over alleged non-cooperation with patients seeking favours sent by the Punjab Health Secretary Nabeel Awan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Syed Mazhar was recruited on an ad-hoc basis as Associate Professor of Pulmonologist.

Secretary, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan has issued a suspension notification in this regard after the SIMS doctor failed to give VIP protocol to the patients sent by him.

Upon refusal to give favour out of the box to the patients sent by the Health Secretary, first he was transferred to Rahim Yar Khan, later suspended from the post.
