Believe in politics of non-violence, joining PPP under Bilawal’s leadership: AJK Speaker  

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly Speaker Ch Latif Akbar, whose convoy was targeted when he was going to join PPP along with his supporters, has said that he always believed in politics of violence in politics, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.

In a video statement after the attack, Speaker Ch Latif Akbar said his convoy was targeted with pre-planning. Ch Latif Akbar said he was joining PPP by following the vision and leadership of Bilawal Bhutto. 

He said the resident of his constituency were followers of Zulfiqar Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. 

Earlier, AJK Assembly Speaker Ch Latif Akbar’s convoy was targeted when he was going to join PPP along with his supporters, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. According to Public Relations Officer (PRO) of AJK Assembly Speaker, the firing incident took place in Charkpura Union Council area and resultantly two people got injured. Police reached the site to control the situation, however, Muslim Conference’s workers also opened fire at police party. 

AC Rural Hammad Bashir told media that an armed group first opened fire at the convoy of Speaker Ch Latif Akbar and later targeted police team. He said police was trying to control the situation. 

AC Rural Hammad Bashir said one PPP workers has got injured with bullet fire while other suffered stone injury. 

Speaker Ch Latif Akbar has said that no one can stop him from making key decision, adding that his enemies have got perturbed over his decision of becoming part of PPP.
