SAPM Mushaal Malik visits Adiala Jail

Mushaal Hussein Malik, special assistant to the caretaker prime minister (SAPM) Saturday said that she would talk to the Prime Minister after getting the details of the innocent people imprisoned in the jail, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media persons after having a visit of Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, she said that a complaint cell has been established in the jail for the inmates where they can apply for justice.
Mushaal Hussein Malik, the wife of Kashmiri leader and freedom fighter Yasin Malik said that more people are imprisoned from the capacity of the jail because of the non-construction of the jail in Islamabad. She said that 6800 prisoners are currently housed in the Central Jail Rawalpindi. .
“Prisoners are also human beings and it is the responsibility of the prison authorities to provide them with hygienic food and potable water, she added.
Mushaal said that Yaseen Malik has been behind bars for the last four and a half years and he was once taken out of jail when he was to be sentenced.
The SAPM vowed that she would now make a surprise visit to the jails in order to take firsthand information about the inmates.
“I myself am a victim of human rights violations,” she hinted.
She told the media that she has devoted her whole life to the freedom of Kashmir. “Every inhabitant of Kashmir is a prisoner,” she maintained.
