Two people died in a landslide, and one miraculously survived while working on a hill in Sargodha Stone Crushing Market, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to details, labourers Asghar and Ashraf Sukna, residents of Azad Kashmir, and Tariq were working on Hill 126/12 South when, due to a sudden landslide, all three were buried, as a result of which Ashraf and Asghar died on the spot while Tariq managed to escape miraculously.
The bodies of the deceased workers were handed over to the families after the necessary procedures.
The accident happened due to the negligence of the officials of the Department of Mines and the CNB.
According to the officials of the Hill Workers' Union, the reason for the daily deaths of workers in mountain accidents is the result of collusion between the Department of Mines and the leaseholder on dangerous hills.
Some time ago, CNB Company gave three fake checks of Rs500,000 each to the widows of the workers who died in the mountain accident, which could not be cashed, and a case was filed against owner Faraz Bhatti, and recovery was done.
