The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday rejected a plea to suspend the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023 over paper leak allegations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

After the paper leaked on social media, a student moved to the Sindh High Court requesting to look into the matter.

The plea reads that it is the second time that the MDCAT paper has been leaked and nobody is being held responsible for the crime.

According to details, The Chief Justice Sindh High Court was informed by the Additional Advocate General Sindh that the guess paper was leaked not the original paper.

The petitioners’ lawyer said the paper had been sold in rupees 12 lakhs.

SHC CJ said 41 thousand students have appeared in the test, and one hundred people would have benefited.

“Don’t you want students to be enrolled in the colleges?”, he asked.

The lawyer replied the students want admission to the medical and dental colleges of the province on merit.

As a result, after hearing all the arguments the SHC CJ responded and said that the reasons for the rejection of the applicants would be issued later.

SHC CJ expressed anger whereas the court remarked people's trust has been deteriorating as the paper was leaked earlier.

“Where the paper has been leaked?”, the court asked the petitioner’s lawyer.

“We have WhatsApp chat where answers to 170 questions are present, petitioner’s lawyer replied.

On the other hand, the counsel of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) said, “No paper has been leaked.”
