LHC rejects applications of Khadija Shah, others seeking their arrests illegal

Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday rejected the applications of 9th May Jinnah House violence case suspects including clothing designer Khadija Shah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The suspects of the case, during the judicial remand, pleaded that their arrest be declared illegal.
The two-member bench headed by Senior Judge LHC Justice Ali Baqar Najafi announced the verdict.
LHC rejected applications of Khadija Shah, Huma Shah, Arif Saeed and Rizwan Zia.
Former finance Minister Syed Salman Ali Shah’s daughter Khadija was accused of leading the attack on Jinnah House in Lahore Cantt. She said that she will surrender and turn herself in just so her family is safe. She said that her family who is innocent was kidnapped and put behind bars and that is not at all what she wants.
Shah was a dual citizen and struggled to get help from the American Embassy. The Embassy asked Pakistan to grant consular access to Khadija after which US officials came to meet her in Kot Lakhpat Jail
