Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have arrested 10 Pakistani nationals, including five women, on charges of begging, officials from Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed.

The individuals were caught during separate operations across various locations in the UAE and have since been transferred to local jails. They are expected to be deported to Pakistan in the coming days, with emergency passports already issued for their return.

According to FIA officials, the detainees will be arrested upon arrival in Pakistan, where legal action will be taken against them. The arrests are part of heightened crackdowns by Gulf authorities against illegal activities, particularly those involving undocumented migrants misusing visit visas or engaging in organized begging networks.

Pakistani authorities have assured full cooperation with UAE officials to ensure the smooth deportation of the individuals, reinforcing their stance against illegal migration and unlawful practices abroad.
