The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has declared that all calls made to National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) emergency helpline 130 shall be free of charge.

This was decided after a meeting held between National Highways and Motorway Police Inspector General Dr Syed Kaleem Imam and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Maj General (r) Aamir Azeem Bajwa at PTA Headquarters, Islamabad. 

During the meeting, issues related to telecom coverage on different motorways and highways including M-3 and Hazara Expressway were also discussed.

The PTIA chairman assured that PTA would extend all support to NH&MP in facilitating road users and the public.
