Belarusian president meets COAS, praises Pakistan’s role in anti-terror fight

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir in Islamabad, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, prospects for defence cooperation, and regional security dynamics came under discussion, added the military media wing.
The COAS expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for Belarus’s contributions to global and regional affairs, emphasizing a desire to strengthen and expand bilateral ties.
President Aleksandr Lukashenko commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their significant role in fostering regional peace and stability, as well as their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
